Alex Brown, candidate for city council in Chico, joins Mike in the studio for a wide ranging, in depth discussion of her candidacy.

On this episode NorCal News Now, Mike sits down with progressive candidate for Chico’s City Council, Alex Brown. She’s the only city council candidate in the country endorsed by Hillary Clinton.

Mike and Alex talk about her start in politics, her education at Chico State, as well as her hopes for solving the homeless issues in Chico and then elsewhere in California. She also talks about the basis for her political ideals and hopes for bringing a new era to the Chico city council, as well as her experience for community organizing which she believes will help her effectiveness in office.

Then Aaron Haar joins Mike at the end to talk about the week in politics, the shape of the 2018 Midterm elections, and what to expect locally.
